The short version
Apex Car World is an independent car magazine, free to read. Use it, enjoy it, don't attack it, and don't treat the numbers as gospel when you're about to spend real money. By using the site you accept what's written here.
What this site is — and isn't
It's editorial: car profiles, specifications, rankings and motorsport coverage, written and compiled by one person.
It is not a dealership. No cars are sold here, no orders are taken, and no sale is brokered. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any manufacturer, team or series. Brand names and model names belong to their owners and are used only to describe the cars.
About the numbers
Specifications, prices, production counts and lap times are gathered from manufacturers, public sources and reference material, and are checked as carefully as one person reasonably can. Even so, figures vary between markets and model years, sources disagree, and mistakes happen.
Don't make a purchase decision on this site alone. Verify anything that matters with the manufacturer or the seller before money changes hands. Nothing here is financial, investment or purchasing advice — valuations in particular are estimates, not appraisals.

Affiliate links
Some links — collectibles in particular — are affiliate links, mainly eBay. If you buy after following one, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
It doesn't buy influence: commission never affects which cars are covered, how they are ranked, or what is said about them. Rankings are driven by the data.
Links to other websites
The site links out to marketplaces, sellers, encyclopaedias and news sources. Those sites aren't mine and aren't under my control. I'm not responsible for their content, their prices, their accuracy, or what happens if you buy from them. Once you leave, their terms and privacy policy apply, not these.
Content and copyright
The writing, design, rankings and original layout of Apex Car World are mine. You're welcome to quote a passage with credit and a link. Wholesale copying, republishing the database, or passing the work off as your own isn't on.
Much of the photography and some background text come from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons under their respective free licences, and remain the property of their creators under those licences. Manufacturer logos and trademarks belong to their owners.
If you own something used here and want it credited differently or removed, email me and it will be handled promptly.
Using the site fairly
Please don't: scrape the site in bulk or hammer it with automated requests; try to break into the private admin area; attempt to disrupt or overload it; or copy the database wholesale to rebuild it elsewhere.
Normal reading, sharing and linking are all actively encouraged.
The Apex Covenant
The Covenant is a public record of collaborators. Adding your name publishes it on that page. It's a statement of intent between people working on Apex — not a contract, not an employment agreement, and not a binding promise of equity or payment. Want your name removed? Ask, and it goes.
No guarantees
The site is provided as it is. I can't promise it will always be available, always be error-free, or always be up to date. To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for losses arising from using the site or relying on its information — including a purchase you regret.
Nothing here limits any right you have that can't legally be limited.
Changes
These terms may change as the site grows. The current version always lives on this page, with the date at the top. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country from which Apex Car World is operated. Nothing here affects consumer rights you hold under the law of your own country.
